About Rate
Q International rate varies from the domestic rate (call rate and packet
communication fees).
Q Some FOMA terminals and applications perform communication
automatically. Packet communication fees may be expensive. Be sure
to check packet amount consumed by each application behavior for
yourself.
About Network Service Settings
If you subscribe for network services, you may use network
services such as voicemail, call forwarding, and caller ID request
overseas. However, some network services are unavailable.
Q To use network services abroad, it is required to start “remote
operation settings.” You may configure “remote operation settings” in
the destination.
Q Even network services that may be enabled/disabled may be
unavailable depending upon local carriers you use.
When you arrive at destination and power on the FOMA terminal, it
automatically connects to available carrier network.

About Connection
If you set [Available networks] to [Select automatically] in
[Network operators] setting, an optimal network is automatically
selected (zZ page 56).
By manually set [Available networks] to flat-rate service provider,
you may use flat-rate packet communication service overseas.
Subscription for flat-rate packet service is necessary to use the
service. For details, refer to “User Guidebook (Global Services)” or
DOCOMO International Services website.
Q If you use mopera U, you may use data communication features while
roaming by setting pay-as-you-go access point (zZpage 117). Even
with a pay-as-you-go access point, you may use flat-rate services if
you select flat-rate service provider.
Q If you select a pay-as-you-go access point, switch your access point to
[mopera U (flat-rate for smartphone)] before returning to Japan
(zZpage 41). Otherwise expensive fees may be charged.

About Clock Setting
If [Date & time] is set to [Automatic], time and time difference of
the FOMAterminal are corrected by receiving time and time
difference information from a network of the connected local
carrier.
Q Time correction may not be performed correctly depending on local
carriers. In this case, time zone should be set manually.
Q Correction timing varies depending on local carriers.
