Introduction
General precautions for FOMA
terminal, batteries, adapters, and
UIM
Danger
Do not use, store or leave the
FOMA terminal and its accessories
in places with a high temperature
such as near fire or places
exposed to direct sunlight, or in
cars under the blazing sun.
Fire, burns, or
injury may result.
Do not place the FOMA terminal

r its accessories inside cooking
appliances such as microwav
e
ovens or high

pressure containers.

Do not attempt to disassemble or

emodel the FOMA terminal or its

efore entering a
gas station or
other places where flammable
gases are generated, be absolutely
sure to turn off the FOMA terminal

nd stop charging if it is being
charged.
Otherwise, the flammable gases
m
ay ignite.
Use the Osaifu

K
eitai with the
FOMA terminal turned off when you
are near a gas station. (When IC
Card Lock is set, release the lock,
and then turn off the power.)
If odor, overheat, discoloration,
o
r deformation is detected during
use, battery charge, or storage,
immediately follow the instructions
b
elow:
• Pull the power plug out of the
o
utlet or cigarette lighter socket.
• Turn off the power of the FOMA
t
erminal.
• Remove the battery pack from
t
he FOMA terminal.

accessories on unstable locations
such as wobbly tables or slanted
locations.
They may fall off and cause injury.
