Introduction
Cautions on Using 2.4 GHz Devices
The bandwidth of t
he WLAN devices is assigned to the in
-
plant
radio stations f
or identification of mobile objects used in
production lines of
a factory (a license is required), specified
low power radio stations (a license is not required), or amateur
r
adio stations (a
license is required), in addition to home electric
appliances such as a
microwave oven, industrial/scientific/
medical devices.
1. Before using t
his device, confirm that in

plant radio stations
for identification of mobile objects, specified low power radio
s
tations or amateur radio stations are not in operation in your
n
eighborhood.
2. If this device generates harmful radio wave interference
a
gainst in
-
plant radio stations f
or identification of mobile
objects, immediately change the radio frequency or stop using
wireless LAN function, and contact “docomo Information
C
enter” on t
he back page of this manual, then consult about
treatment for prevention of the interference (for example,
i
nstallation of
partitions etc.).
3. If this device generates harmful radio wave interference

gainst in

Notes on handling the FeliCa reader/writer
The FeliCa reader/writer function on the FOMA terminal uses
very weak radio waves which do not require to be licensed as
r
adio stations.
The FeliCa reader/writer is operated on the 13.56 MHz
f
requencies. W
hen you use another reader/writer nearby, take
enough distance between y
our FOMA terminal and the reader/
writer. Further, ensure that there are no radio stations that use
t
he same frequencies.
Caution
Do not use the modified FOMA terminal. Using a modified
FOMA terminal infringes the Radio Law.
T
he FOMA terminals are granted technical regulations conformity
c
ertification as t
he specified radio equipment under the Radio
Law and bear a “technical conformity mark
” on the nameplate
as evidence of conformity. Unscrewing the FOMA terminal and
modifying internal components void the technical regulations
c
onformity certification. Do not use the FOMA terminal in this
s
tate, which infringes t
he Radio Law.
Take special care not t
o operate the FOMA terminal while
driving.
Holding a mobile phone in y
our hand while driving is subject to a
fine or other penalties.
H
owever, this does not apply in unavoidable circumstances when,
for instance, responding to someone who is sick or injured or
w
hen maintaining public order.
Use the Bluetooth functions in Japan only.
