Introduction
Turn off the FOMA terminal when
near electronic devices using
high
-
precision control or weak
signals.
The FOMA terminal may cause the
e
lectronic devices to malfunction
and have other adverse effects.
Electronic devices that may be
affected:
H
earing aids, implanted
cardiac pacemakers, implanted
defibrillators, other
electronic
medical equipment, fire alarms,
automatic doors and other
automatically
controlled devices.
If you use an implanted cardiac
pacemaker, implanted defibrillator
or any other electronic medical
equipment, consult the
manufacturer or retailer of the
device for advice regarding
p
ossible effects from the radio
waves.
If the display part or camera lens
i
s broken, be careful about broken
glasses or the exposed interior of
t
he FOMA terminal.
A film is coated on t
he surface of
the display area and the plastic
panel is used for the surface of
the camera
lens, making it hard
for the glass to break into pieces.
However, if you touch the damaged
or exposed parts by mistake, you
may injure yourself.
Caution
Do not swing around the FOMA
terminal by its strap, antenna or
other parts.
Y
ou may hit yourself or others,
p
ossibly causing injury or other
accidents.
Do not use the FOMA terminal if it
h
as been damaged.
Fire, burns, injury
or electric shock
may result.
When using t
he motion sensor,
ensure that you check around you
for safety, securely take hold of
your FOMA terminal, and do not
swing more than necessitated.
Otherwise, injury or other accidents
m
ay result.
The surface of the display is
c
oated by a film that prevents the
surface from damage to ensure
your safety when you accidentally
drop or give shock to your FOMA
terminal (for preventing the
r
einforced glass from scattering).
Do not forcibly peel off or give
damage to the film.
If the display is damaged while you
o
perate the FOMA terminal with the
film peeled off, you might suffer an
injury.
If you accidentally damage the
display part and the substance
i
nside leaks out, keep y
our face,
hands and skin aw
ay from it.
Otherwise, you may impair your
eyesight or damage your skin.
I
f this substance should get into
y
our eyes or mouth, immediately
r
inse them with clean water, and
t
hen seek medical attention.
I
f it should adhere to your skin or
c
lothing, immediately wipe it off with
alcohol or similar liquid, and then
r
inse the affected area with soap
a
nd water.
B
efore using t
he FOMA terminal
inside a car, check with its
m
anufacturer or dealer whether the
signals from the FOMA terminal
w
ill have any adverse effects.
I
n some vehicle models, the signals
m
ay adversely affect the electronic
d
evices inside t
he vehicle. Such
cases are rare. However, if t
his
happens, stop using t
he FOMA
terminal immediately.
Itching, rash or eczema may be
caused depending on your physical
conditions or
predisposition. If an
abnormality
occurs, stop using the
FOMA terminal immediately, and
t
hen seek medical attention.
See “List of materials used” on
page 13 for material of each part.
Be careful not to get your finger or a
strap caught in the parts when you
c
lose or open the FOMA terminal.
Otherwise, injury or other accidents
may result.
