radio wave

This mobile phone wa
s designed in
observa
nce of Japanese technical regulations
re
garding exposure to radio waves* and limits
to ex
posure to radio waves recommended by
a set of equ
ivalent international guidelines.
This set of intern
ational guidelines was set
out by
the International Commission on
Non
-
Ionizing Radiation Pro
tection (ICNIRP),
which
is in collaboration with the World Health
Organization (WHO), and the permissible limits
include a substantial safe
ty margin designed
to assure
the safety of all persons, regardless
of age and health condition.
The tech
nical regulations and international
guidelines set out limits fo
r radio waves as the
Specific Absorption Rate, or SA
R, which is the
va
lue of absorbed energy in any 10 grams of
tissue ove
r a 6
-
minute period. The SAR limit
fo
r mobile phones is 2.0 W/kg. The highest
SA
R value for this mobile phone when tested
fo
r use at the ear is 0.982 W/kg. There may be
slight diffe
rences between the SAR levels for
each
product, but they all satisfy the limit.
The actual SA
R of this mobile phone while
operating can be we
ll below that indicated
above
. This is due to automatic changes to the
power level of the device to ensure it only uses
the minimum re
quired to reach the network.
There
fore in general, the closer you are to a
base station, the lowe
r the power output of
the dev
ice.
This mobile phone can be used in positions
other than against yo
ur ear. This mobile phone
satisfies the intern
ational guidelines when
used with a carr
ying case or a wearable
accessory approve
d by NTT DOCOMO,
INC.** In case yo
u are not using the approved
accessory,
please use a product that does not
contain any
metals, and one that positions the
mobile phone at least 1.5 cm away
from your
body.

rld Health Organization has stated
that “a larg
e number of studies have been
performed over the last two decades to assess
whether mobile phones pose a potential
health ri
sk. To date, no adverse health effects
have
been established as being caused by
mobile phone use.”
