Introduction
About the connector terminal cover, inner cover and back cover
Do not open or close them with gloves put on hands.
Fine dirt might adhere to the contact surface of the packing.
Be car
eful that no fibers adhere to the packing when you try to wipe
off moistur
e with a clean dry cloth.
Do not peal the pac
king off
. Also do not insert something pointed at
the head into the clearance of the connector terminal co
ver or inner
cover.
The pac
king is damaged, resulting in water to enter into the FOMA
ter
minal.
If the pac
king for the connector terminal cover or inner cover is
damaged or def
or
med, replace them at a repair counter specified by
DOCOMO.
If the back cover is broken, replace it with new one.
Otherwise liq

h as water enters into the inside of the FOMA
terminal through broken portions, and an electric shock or corrosion
of the battery pac

esult.
When the FOMA terminal gets w
et with the connector terminal cover
or back cover left open, water enters inside, and an electric shock
or malfunction could be caused. Do not use it as is, but tur

About microphone, earpiece, and speakers
Do not thr

ophone, earpiece, or speakers.

communications are disabled.

Draining Water
If you operate the FOMA terminal with water drops left adhered to,
the volume level from the speakers might be decreased or sound
q
uality vary.
Moisture may have entered inside through the clearance gap of the
keys or hinges.
Follow the procedures described below to wipe moisture off the FOMA
terminal:
Wipe completely moisture off the surface of the FOMA terminal
with a clean dry cloth.
Securely take hold of the FOMA terminal, and firmly swing each
surface at least 20 times until no moisture sprays of
f.
