Introduction
⿠Do not use brushes, sponges, soaps, or detergents for washing.
⿠After rinsing off the FOMA terminal in water, wipe its surfaces
thor
oughly using a dry cloth, drain off the water (see page 17), and
allo
w the FOMA terminal to dry out naturally.
On Leisure
⿠Do not soak or drop y

pool or the sea nor operate it in water

⿠If pool water or seawater splash the FOMA
ter
minal, wash the terminal by following the
pr
escribed method (see page 19).
In the Bathroom

containing soap detergent or bath additiv

⿠Avoid using the FOMA terminal for a long time in the bathroom.

ou take your FOMA terminal from a cold place to a warm
bathr
oom, condensation might result because of sudden change
in ambient temperatur
e.
Warm it up until ambient temperature is
restored, and then take it to the bathroom.
In the Kitchen
⿠Do not spray liq
uids other than fresh water or tap water at room
temperature onto the FOMA ter
minal or soak the terminal in them.
⿠Do not spray hot w
ater or cold water onto the FOMA terminal or soak
it in them.
Important Information before Use
⿠Before using the FOMA terminal, make sure that you attach the back
cover firmly after tightly closing the connector terminal cover and
inner co
ver. If there is any small particles (fine fibers, hair or grains
of sand) betw
een the co
vers and the phone, water could find its way
inside the phone. When attac
hing the back cover after closing the
connector terminal co
ver and inner cover, ensure that there is no
particles or dirt on or around these parts (especially the packing).
⿠Ensur
e that the connector terminal cover, inner cover and back
co
ver are closed tightly and that none of these covers are askew. If
the co
vers are not closed tightly, water could find its way inside the
FOMA ter
minal.
⿠T
o keep the waterproof performance, you need to replace parts
without fail once tw
o y
ears regardless whether any abnormality with
the FOMA terminal is f
ound or not. You are charged for replacement
of parts. Take your FOMA terminal to a repair counter specified by
DOCOMO
.

Align the connector terminal cover in
parallel with the FOMA terminal, and
while holding its base part firmly
, push
it into place.

Ensure that no float is found with the
connector terminal cover as a whole.
