Introduction
Note the following points when you store a battery pack:
Storage in a fully
charged state (the state immediately after
charging is completed)
Storage with no battery
power left (the state you cannot turn
on the power of the handset due to battery drain)

performance and shorten its
operating life.
Before storing a battery
, check its remaining battery level: it is
recommendable, as a general rule, for t
he battery icon to show
two bars or f
or its remaining battery level to be about 40%.
Notes on handling adapters and desktop holder
Charge the battery in a place with an appropriate ambient
temperature of
5°C to 35°C.
Charge the battery where:
There is very little humidity, vibration, and dust.
There are no land
-
line phones, t
elevision sets or radios nearby.
While you are charging, the adapter may become warm. This is
n
ot a malfunction, so you can keep on using.
D
o not use t
he DC adapter for charging the battery when the
car engine is not running.
T
he car battery could go flat.
W
hen using the power outlet having the disengaging prevention
mechanism, observ
e the instructions given in that instruction
manual.
Do not give a
strong shock. Also, do not deform the charging
terminal.
Malfunction may
result.
When housing t
he leg onto the desktop holder, be careful that
your fingers or the adapter cable not to be caught between
t
hem.
Accidents such as injury
or damage may result.
Notes on handling touch pen
Use the touch pen only with the FOMA terminal which supports
it: Do not use it with any
other terminals.
Malfunction or
damage of device may result.
The touch pen is not waterproofed. Notes that if the touch pen
g
ets wet, moisture may
remain inside the cap.
Notes on handling the UIM
Do not apply more force than is necessary when installing or
removing the UIM.
T
he warranty
does not cover damage caused by inserting the
UIM into some other t
ypes of IC card reader/writer.
Always keep the IC portion clean.
U
se a dry soft cloth such as the one for cleaning glasses to
c
lean the equipment.
I
t is recommended t
hat you make separate notes of the
information stored on t
he UIM and keep such notes in a safe
place.
We take no responsibility for any loss of the stored data items.
F
or the environmental protection, bring any unneeded UIMs to
a
handling counter
such as a docomo Shop.
Do not damage, carelessly t
ouch, or short

circuit the IC.
Data might be lost or
malfunction may result.
Do not drop t
he UIM or subject it to strong impacts.

he UIM or place something heavy on it.
