9.9 Options for glucose control tests
This menu contains options that allow you to specify
whether and at what intervals glucose control tests are
performed. If you require control tests, check your set-
tings for STAT tests (see page 137).
1 Touch the desired option to enable it:
■ Control Frequency
– Always OK: QC Lockout is disabled, patient tests
can be performed at any time. This applies regard-
less of the result of running glucose control tests.
– Last QC OK: QC Lockout is activated only when the
last glucose control test is out of range or a control
test is not available (e.g., when changing the test
strip lot).
– Hours: QC Lockout is activated after the specified
time. When a glucose control test is run success-
fully, the counter is reset to “0”.
– Strip Count: QC Lockout is activated after reaching
the specified number of tests. When a glucose con-
trol test is run successfully, the test strip counter is
reset to “0”.
