CHAPTER
The headset button is context-sensitive,
and it performs various actions based on
the situation. You can press the headset
button to perform any of the following
tasks:
• Answer an incoming call
• Respond to call waiting
• Hang up all calls
• Swap between calls
NOTE Your Treo 750 works with headsets
that have a 2.5mm, 3-pin connector (look
for two colored bands on the plug). When
in doubt, ask the third-party headset
manufacturer if the product is compatible
with your Treo 750. If you hear a headset
buzz or poor microphone performance,
your headset may be incompatible with
your Treo 750.
Connecting to a Bluetooth
®
 hands-free
device
Your Treo 750 is also compatible with many
headsets and car kits (sold separately)
enabled with Bluetooth
®
 wireless
technology version 1.1 or 1.2.
For a list of compatible hands-free devices
with Bluetooth wireless technology, go to
www.palm.com/us/support/treo/
treo750cingular.
After you set up a connection with a
Bluetooth headset or hands-free car kit,
you can communicate with that device
whenever it is within range and the
Bluetooth feature on your Treo 750 is
turned on. The range varies greatly,
depending on environmental factors; the
maximum is about 30 feet (10 meters).
1 If necessary, prepare the device you
want to connect with to accept a new
connection. Check the device’s
documentation for details; be sure to
find out if the device has a predefined
passkey that you need to enter on your
Treo 750 in step 7.
DID
YOU
KNOW
?
If you have both a compatible
Bluetooth headset and car kit, the one you
connected to your Treo 750 last becomes the
active device.
