Dialing using the onscreen Dial Pad
The onscreen Dial Pad is useful when you
need to dial numbers that are expressed as
letters and when you need large numbers
that you can tap with your finger or the
stylus.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN Make sure your
phone is on (see Turning your phone on
).
1 Go to your Today screen.
2 Press Phone/Send and select
Dial Pad.
3 Tap the onscreen Dial Pad to enter the
number.
4 Press Phone/Send to dial.
TIP To see a contact’s address, company, and
other details, press Up to highlight the name
and press Center on the 5-way.
DID YOU KNOW ? After you look up a contact,
you can select how you want to communicate
with that person. Press and hold Center on
the 5-way, or tap and hold, and then select the
communication method you want to use.
DID YOU KNOW ? You can paste numbers
directly into the Dial Pad. Copy a number from
another application, switch to Dial Pad, and
then press and hold Center on the 5-way to
paste the number.
