Synchronizing Using a Wi-Fi
®
Connection
Need to synchronize but can’t get back to the office? Once you set up the Wi-Fi
®
network connection and prepare your computer, you can synchronize your
handheld anytime your PC is turned on and accessible via a network, and you are
within range of a Wi-Fi access point.
The first time you synchronize your handheld, you must use a local, direct
connection, or infrared or Bluetooth
®
communication, rather than a modem or network. Refer to
your handheld User Guide for instructions.
If your home or corporate network is secured by VPN (virtual private network), you need
to set up a VPN account on your handheld before you can synchronize using a Wi-Fi connection.

• Windows OS
•Palm

Desktop
software with HotSync
®
Manager turned on
• TCP/IP support
• Access to a broadband
network, such as a
company network or DSL
