Selecting Sounds & Notifications
1. Press Start and select Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, select Sounds & Notifications .
3. On the Sounds tab, set any of the following options:
䡲 Events: Turns sounds on/off for system warnings and
error messages.
䡲 Programs: Turns sounds on/off in the applications on
your smart device.
䡲 Notifications: Turns alarms and reminders on/off in the
applications on your smart device.
䡲 Screen taps: Turns sounds associated with tapping the
screen on/off, and sets the volume level when this
sound is turned on.
䡲 Hardware buttons: Turns sounds associated with pressing buttons on/off, and sets
the volume level when this sound is turned on.
4. Select the Notifications tab and set any of the following options:
䡲 Event: Specifies which action you want to change the
settings for. (The remaining options vary based on the
action you select.)
䡲 Play sound: Lets you turn the sound on/off for the
selected event. (To select a different sound, select the
list to the right of this setting, and then select a
different sound. To preview the sound, select Play .)
䡲 Repeat: Indicates whether the sound plays more than
once, if turned on.
