Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. If you are not, contact the customer service department.
Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!
Problem Possible Cause / Solution
The device does not
work.
• Is the plug inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the mains socket defective?
Try another mains socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Is the cable or the plug defective?
• Is the On / Off switch in position I?
No paint emerges from
the spray nozzle.
• Is the On / Off switch in position I?
• The spray nozzle is blocked. Clean it.
• The air hose is not correctly attached. Check the hose
connections.
• The air hose is blocked. Clean it.
• The paint container is not correctly screwed onto the spray
gun.
• The adjusting wheel for controlling the amount of paint is
tightened too much. Release it a little.
The coating material
is dripping out of the
spray nozzle.
• The spray nozzle is loose. Tighten the black plastic ring around
the spray nozzle.
• Paint is building up behind the spray nozzle. Clean the spray
nozzle and try again.
Too much of the
coating material is being
applied.
• The amount of paint is not set correctly. Turn the adjusting
wheel to regulate the amount of paint released.
• The coating material is too runny. Check the viscosity (see the
"Use" chapter, section "Preparation").
Paint tears (noses) are
forming on the object
which you want to coat
with paint.
• The amount of paint is not set correctly. Turn the adjusting
wheel to regulate the amount of paint released.
• The coating material is too runny. Check the viscosity (see the
"Use" chapter, section "Preparation").
• The spray gun is too close to the surface. Stand further back.
The paint jet is
emerging "in pulses".
• The paint container is almost empty. Refi ll it.
• The air hose is blocked. Clean it.
Poor atomisation of the
coating material.
• The amount of paint is not set correctly. Turn the adjusting
wheel to regulate the amount of paint released.
• The coating material is too thick. Check the viscosity (see the
"Use" chapter, section "Preparation").
