CAUTION: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the vehicle’s battery. Raise the vehicle and support it firmly on jack stands or ramps. WARNING:
NEVER GO UNDER A VEHICLE SUPPORTED ONLY BY ITS SERVICE JACK.
2. Under Vehicle - Disconnect Y-pipe from factory manifold. It may be necessary to loosen the two studs on the
outlet flange to allow the Y-pipe to drop free of the exhaust manifolds. Use caution to avoid damaging O2
sensors and wiring.
3. Above Vehicle-Driver Side - Unbolt the red accessory battery box from the alternator bracket and move aside
for more clearance. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and coils. Remove spark plugs. Do not
remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold..
4. Unbolt and remove factory exhaust manifold with heat shield attached.
5. After cleaning gasket surface of cylinder head, install new gasket provided. An O2 sensor safe high temp
silicone sealer such as Permatex Ultra-Copper is recommended.
6. Install header onto engine, using the header bolts supplied and torque the fasteners to factory specifications.
7. Above Vehicle-Passenger Side - Remove the bolts holding the EGR tube to the exhaust manifold. It is not
necessary to remove tube.
8. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and coils. Remove spark plugs. Remove the heat shield
from the exhaust manifold. Unbolt and remove the oil dipstick tube.
9. Unbolt and remove factory exhaust manifold.
10. After cleaning gasket surface of engine head install new gasket provided.
11. Remove the factory “donut” gasket from the exhaust manifold and install it into the new header.
12. Install header onto engine, using the header bolts supplied and torque the fasteners to factory specifications.
13. After cleaning gasket surface on the EGR line outlet flange, install new gasket provided. Bolt EGR line to
header using the two 5/16 inch bolts and nuts provided.
14. Under Vehicle - Clean gasket surface on the driver side Y-pipe inlet and install new gasket provided.
Reinstall the factory Y-pipe to the headers, using the 3/8 inch bolts and nuts provided. Retighten the catalytic
converter studs.
15. Reinstall spark plugs and spark plug wires. Reinstall oil dipstick tube and dipstick. Refasten red accessory
battery box onto the alternator bracket. Check for adequate clearances, and ensure that no cables, hoses, or
wires are touching any exhaust pipes.
16. Start engine and check for leaks. Let engine cool down and re-torque all fasteners to factory specifications.

6-3/8”-16 Lock nuts
2-5/16”-18 Lock nuts
