CAUTION: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the vehicle's battery. Raise the vehicle and support it firmly on jack stands or ramps.
WARNING: NEVER GO UNDER A VEHICLE SUPPORTED ONLY BY ITS SERVICE JACK.
2. Unbolt the catalytic converter from the "Y" pipe. Unscrew EGR line from drivers side manifold.
3. Unbolt and remove "Y" pipe from the exhaust manifolds.
4. Unbolt and remove the drivers side exhaust manifold. Ensure that the cylinder head is clean and free of any
grease, rust, or gasket material and install new gasket. Slip header into place and re-install the EGR line. Fasten
header reusing the factory hardware, torque to 22 ft lbs.
5. Unbolt and remove passenger side manifold. Ensure that the cylinder head is clean and free of any grease, rust, or
gasket material and install new gasket. Fasten header reusing the factory hardware, torque to 22 ft lbs.
6. Clean gasket area of catalytic converter and install new gasket provided. Slip new "Y" pipe onto header outlets and
bolt to catalytic converter reusing the factory bolts. Snug but do not tighten at this time.
7. Paying close attention to clearance, check system alignment and adjust as necessary. Install the two U-clamps
provided onto the "Y" pipe inlets and tighter all fasteners.
8. Remove jack stands or ramps, and lower the vehicle. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks. Re-torque and re-
tighten fasteners as required.
NOTE: Check and re-tighten all fasteners and clamps after a few days of operation and thereafter on a periodic
basis.
