CAUTION: BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION, READ INSTRUCTIONS THROUGH CAREFULLY AND
COMPLETELY.
1. Jack up front end of car and SECURE WITH JACKSTANDS. Disconnect battery. WARNING: NEVER USE
FACTORY BUMPER JACK AS THEY ARE INTENDED FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY.
2. NOTE: TO EASE HEADER INSTALLATION, YOU MAY WISH TO REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD IN ORDER TO
MORE EASILY ACCESS THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove heat shield, if so equiped.
4. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Disconnect the intake manifold from the exhaust manifold
(A series engines only) unless removing both.
5. Remove all temperature sensors, air induction pipes and other attachments from the manifold.
6. Loosen and remove the exhaust manifold attaching nuts, then remove manifold.
7. Install header using gasket provided and reusing factory nuts.
8. Re-install temperature sensors and reconnect EAI and EGR lines to fittings on header.
9. Connect extension pipe, first to header collector, then to catalytic converter (or headpipe).
10. Tighten bolts and nuts. Re-install air cleaner assembly. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks. Installation is
complete.
