If your HDTV does not have an HDMI connector, but has component video (YPbPr) inputs, connect your HDTV here.
In order to hear sound you must also connect an electrical audio cable between the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT socket on
the set-top and the audio input sockets on your HDTV.
VIDEO / AUDIO OUT
(yellow socket)
Combined standard-definition (SD) video and stereo audio output. Connect to the composite video and analog
audio inputs on your SDTV.
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT
Connect to the electrical digital audio input on optional digital audio equipment, such as an audio decoder or home
theater receiver.
HDMI OUT
Connect to the HDMI input on your HDTV.
HMDI IN
Connect another optional HDMI device (allowing the device’s output to loop through the set-top box to the TV).
USB
Connect to compatible optional equipment that supports a USB interface (for future use).
SATA
Connect to an optional external hard disk (if this feature is enabled by your cable service-provider).
POWER
Connect your set-top box’s power supply unit here. Make this connection last of all.
