NoteNumber Notes
There are no notes for this vehicle.
Connect pin 20 (Black) wire to ground. Connect pin
19
(Violet)
to
the INTERFACE's White wire. Connect one end
of
a 150 ohm resistor to pin 18 (Orange), then connect the other end
of
the resistor
to
the INTERFACE's white wire. So basicallv
yOU
will have two wires, one with a resistor
in
series, connected to the INTERFACE's white wire (See
Fi
2).
Two Interfaces are needed to retain the SWC's. You will need a CAN SWC interface and a radio specific SWC interface. Use ONLY the Programming instructions provided with this document. All
connections will be made b referrinq to the CAN SWC Interface instructions.
Connect pin 6 wire to ground. Connect pin 7 to the INTERFACE's White wire. Connect one end of a 150 ohm resistor to pin
8.
then connect the other end
of
the resistor
to
the INTERFACE's white
wire. So basically you will have two wires, one with a resistor
in
series, connected
to
the INTERFACE's White wire (See Fig 2). If the vehicle has Phone options on the steering wheel and you want
to
use them
to
control the radio. lease use a 560 ohm resistor instead of the 150 ohm resistor indicated. Mapllnfo button is not used.
If the vehicle has rear controls and they need to
be
retained with front controls, connect both pins
13
and
14
to the INTERFACE's green wire. Connect Pin
12
(Pink
or
Violet)
10
Accessory +12. Rear
controls do not need
to
be prOQrammed unless a button
is
not
on
the steerinq wheel.
You must get the wire at the steering wheel column. Cut wire
in
half. Connect the INTERFACE's Yellow wire to the steering wheel side of the cut wire. Insulate remaining cut wire. The "RIT" button is
NOT oroarammable.
Plug is located
in
the AV Switch panel control module. This control module can be found by following the AV Switch panel harness into the dash. Connect a 150 ohm resistor to vehicle's pin 13 wire.
Connect a 47 ohm resistor
to
vehicle's in
12
wire. Connect remaininq ends
of
resistor to the INTERFACE's white wire. Connect vehicle's
in
14
wire to chassis around (See Fio 4).
9 There are separate wires for each button. Put a different value resistor on each wire and tie remaining ends of resistor
to
INTERFACE'S White wire. Use resistors less than 2k ohms.
10 Wire
in
steering wheel column in white or gray plug. Remove cover around key cylinder (special torx driver may be needed). Cut the wire
in
half. Connect the INTERFACE's wire to steering wheel side
of
the cut wire. Insulate remainina cut wire.
11
Only applicable for vehicles with the "Mode" button
on
the steering wheel:
In
some cases
f-:)r
the Mode button to function, no resistor is needed, a 3900 ohm resistor
is
needed,
or
a 5100 ohm resistor
is
needed across the INTERFACES white and black wires (See
Fi
1).
If
Pin #
11
(brown
.....-ire)
in
the factory radio harness is available, connect
to
chassis around.
12
If
you are using a radio replacement interface that provides a SWC output wire, disregard all connection and version number directions provided with this document, only following the programming
steps. Refer to the radio replacement interface instructions for version number and connection information.
13
Connect a 150 ohm resistor
to
pin
16
in the vehicle connector. Connect 47 ohm resistor
to
pin 6
in
the vehicle connector. Connect the free ends
of
the resistors to the INTERFACE'S White wire (See
Fio 4). Connect in 15
in
the vehicle connector to Ground. This connector is the radio
lUG.
