Vehicles with Amplifiers: Connect the front outputs (aftermarket radio) to the rear inputs (22 pin connector)
Installation:
1. Vehicles without factory amplifier: Connect the aftermarket radio’s front and rear speaker wires to the 22 pin plug.
2. Vehicles with factory amplifier (Infinity® Audio System): The factory amplifier only accepts two audio channels (left and
right). The amplifier’s fading is controlled by data communication from the factory radio. The aftermarket radio does not have
the ability to control the amplifier’s fader. Please connect the front outputs of the aftermarket radio to the rear inputs of the 22
pin connector. This will allow navigation voice prompts to be heard. The rear speaker outputs of the radio will not be used. The
factory amplifier’s balance and fader is set to center by the interface.
3. The 22 pin harness has a yellow and a black wire. Connect the yellow wire to the radio’s +12v constant wire and the black wire
to the radio’s ground wire.
4. The accessory wire is located on the 6 pin harness - connect this wire to the radio’s accessory wire. The accessory wire
supplies +12v, 1 amp max when key is in the accessory or ignition position (see fig. 1 when more current is needed).
5. 11 pin plug:
Blue/White - Connect this wire to the radio’s amplifier remote output. This wire will turn on the factory amplifier, if present.
Black/White - N/A.
Green - Connect this wire to the radio’s reverse input wire only.
Orange/White - Connect this wire to the radio’s Illumination input wire only.
Violet/White - Connect this wire to the radio’s VSS input wire only.
Red/White - Connect this wire to the radio’s parking brake input wire only.
Note: Do not connect these wires to any circuit other than the radio’s wire
harness.
6. When all connections are made, connect the 22 pin plug into the vehicle’s 22 pin
harness.
7. Refer to the radio’s manual for testing VSS, Reverse, Parking Brake and
Illumination inputs.
