MODEL W947 - 2Person Hiker Tent
STEP 7: Work around the tent attaching the remaining clips to the poles.
STEP 12: There are guy ropes located on the fly of the
tent. Extend the guy ropes and make a loop at opposite
end of rope by using the slider (as shown) and place
loop over a tent stake. Adjust the slider to make the guy
rope tight and stake to the ground.
STEP 3: Lay the main poles (A) from corner to corner crossing at the center of the tent.
STEP 4: Insert the pole ends into the grommets at the front of the tent.
Clip the plastic hook just above the grommet to the pole. Move to the
back of the tent and gently flex one pole into an arch and place the
pole end into the grommet at the back of the tent. Clip the plastic
hook just above the grommet to the pole. Repeat for the second pole.
STEP 5: Move the poles upward forming two arches that cross just offset from
the center of the tent.
STEP 6: Locate the hook attached to the tent roof
where the poles cross and hook it over both poles.
STEP 8: Slide the ridge pole (B) through the orange sleeve at the
top of the tent. Insert one end of the pole into the grommet located
just above the door. Flex the pole and insert it into the corresponding
grommet on the other side of the tent. Be sure that the ridge pole is placed
on top of the main “X” poles.
STEP 9: Unfold the fly and place it over the tent, making certain the
vestibule zippers are placed over the doors. Position the rainfly so that
the side with the orange band around the bottom is located on the same
side of the tent as the ridge pole. Fasten the buckles on the fly to the
corresponding buckles at the base of the tent. Adjust the webbing at the
buckles to make fly taut.
STEP 10: Fasten the Velcro fasteners sewn to the underside of
the fly to the tent poles.
STEP 11: Stake down the front of the 2 vestibules by inserting a stake through the
webbing loops at each side of the tent. Hammer the stakes into
the ground at a 45° angle, by using a hammer or mallet. Make
sure to pull tent vestibules out even and taut.
STEP 2: Extend the poles by pulling
out each section and placing ends
into the metal ferrule connectors. You
will have three poles. The two longer
poles are the main poles (A) and the
third shorter pole is the top ridge
pole (B).

NOTE : To take down tent, follow steps above in the reverse order. Be sure to
leave doors unzipped. Place stakes into stake bag and poles into the pole bag,
which are provided. Make sure tent is clean and dry before storing.
The tent should be folded into equal parts toward the center of the tent to distribute
the bulk. Start a small tight roll, the width of the carry bag, with the pole bag
placed at the end opposite the door. Roll tent toward door to allow air to escape.
Once rolled, tie a string or rope around tent to hold into place. Place tent, frame
and stakes into carry bag.
