ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
MODEL NO W908.1 MULTI-SHADE
IMPORTANT: WE ADVISE YOU TO ASSEMBLE THE SHADE CANOPY ONCE
BEFORE USE TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE ASSEMBLY
NOTE: PLEASE LOOK AT THE REPLACEMENT PARTS DIAGRAM TO SEE HOW
YOUR FRAME IS ASSEMBLED.
STEP 1: Spread shade out flat with the pole sleeves facing up.
NOTE: The shade can now be staked to the ground as a gear cover.

Set Up Steps
STEP 2:
Extend each of the fiberglass frame poles by pulling out each section
and placing pole ends into the metal ferrule connectors. You will have 3 fiberglass
poles. The two longest poles (A) are the main “X” poles. The third pole (B) is the
center ridge pole.
STEP 3: While making sure the
sleeves are in line with each other,
slide each main pole (A) through
the red sleeves that are opposite
each other on the roof of the shade.
Straighten the sleeves along the
fiberglass sections. Position the poles
so that they form an “X”. Be sure that
the poles go through the loop at top
of the tent where the poles cross.
STEP 4: Slide the ridge pole (B) through the grey sleeves that are opposite each
other on the roof of the shade. Be sure that the pole goes through the loop at top
of the shade where the poles cross.
STEP 5: Place the pole ends on one side of the shade into
the webbing pole pockets.
STEP 6: Go to one corner on the opposite side of the shade. Flex the fiberglass
pole into an upward arch and place the end into the webbing pole pocket.
STEP 8: Clip the plastic hooks to the fiberglass frame poles.
STEP 7: Repeat Step 6 for the other 2 poles.
STEP 9: Stake 2 corners to the
ground (Either on the 9’ or 7’ side)
STEP 10: Extend 2 of the 4 Steel poles by pulling out each wire-corded section
and placing the jointed ends into the connected pole sections.
STEP 11: Extend the steel poles to the preferred length. (Shortest if the shade
is staked on the 9’ side Middle if staked on the 7’ side)
STEP 12: Lift the end of the shade that isn’t staked
to the ground and insert the tip at the end of the metal
pole into the webbing loop at the corner and place it
vertically with the foot at the end of the pole on the ground.
STEP 13: Extend the guy rope at the corner with the upright
pole and make a loop at the opposite end by using the slider
(as shown). Place the loop over tent stake and stake to the
ground. Adjust the slider to make guy rope tight.
STEP 14: Repeat step 13 at the other corner.
Upright Shade Set Up Steps
STEP 15: Extend the two additional steel poles by
pulling out each wire-corded section and placing the
jointed ends into the connected pole sections.
STEP 16: Remove the stakes at the two corners of the shade without the upright poles.
STEP 17: With an adult at each of the free corners lift the shade off the ground.
STEP 18: Each person should insert the tip at the end of the steel pole into the webbing
loop at the corner and place it vertically with the foot at the end of the pole on the ground.
STEP 19: Each person should extend the guy rope at the corner and make a
loop at the opposite end by using the slider (as shown). Place the loop over tent
stake and stake to the ground. Adjust the slider to make guy rope tight.
Follow steps 1 – 8 above
STEP 9: Locate the 2 adjusable webbing straps and place the hooks through
the webbing at the 2 corners on the 7’ side of the shade.
STEP 10: With an adult at each corer place the shade on the roof at the back of the vehicle.
STEP 11: Attach the hook to the car frame preferably in the wheel well.
(be sure not to connect the hook to a plastic trim piece that could be pulled off)
STEP 12: Pull the webbing through the slider until shade is held securely in place.
STEP 13: Extend 2 of the 4 Steel poles by pulling out each wire-corded section
and placing the jointed ends into the connected pole sections.
STEP 14: Extend the steel poles to the preferred length for your vehicle height.
STEP 15: With an adult at each of the free corners lift the free end of the shade.
STEP 16: Each person should inert the tip at the end of the steel pole into the webbing
loop at the corner and place it vertically with the foot at the end of the pole on the ground.
STEP 17: Each person should extend the guy rope at the corner and make a
loop at the opposite end by using the slider (as shown). Place the loop over tent
stake and stake to the ground. Adjust the slider to make guy rope tight.
NOTE: To take down the shade, follow steps above in the reverse order. Place
stakes into stake bag and poles into pole bag, which are provided. Make sure
shade is clean and dry before storing. The shade should be folded into
equal parts toward the center to distribute the bulk. Start a small tight roll, the
width of your carry bag. Once rolled, tie a string or rope around the shade to
hold it in place. Place shade and stake bag into carry bag.
