Limited Warranty on Hip & Ridge Products

Introduction

Thank you for your recent purchase of Owens Corning

Hip & Ridge Product (DecoRidge

™

Hip & Ridge Shingles;

High Style

Hip & Ridge with Sealant; High Ridge Hip & Ridge

with Sealant; or Hip & Ridge with Sealant). We believe we sell

the highest quality and most attractive roo ng products and

systems available anywhere, and that is why we stand behind

them with one of the best warranties in the industry. We

have attempted to write this warranty in clear, plain-English

terms, including the limitations and restrictions, so you will

fully understand the warranty we are making to you.

Who is Covered

If you live in the United States or Canada and you are the

original consumer purchaser, (i.e., the homeowner, not the

installer or contractor) of our hip and ridge products listed

at the end of this warranty, you are entitled to the bene ts

of this warranty.

If You’ve Installed Owens Corning Hip & Ridge Product with

Owens Corning Roo ng Shingles

If this product is installed in conjunction with Owens Corning Roo ng

Shingles, it is covered under, and subject to, the Owens Corning

Limited Warranty on Roo ng Shingles provided by Owens Corning

with those shingles. See your Owens Corning Limited Warranty on

Roo ng Shingles for a description of your warranty coverage,

including the following sections:

• How Long You Are Covered

• What Is Covered (including materials and labor)

• What Is Not Covered

• Your Remedy

• Wind Resistance Coverage (after proper sealing has occurred–

If You’ve Installed Only Owens Corning Hip & Ridge Product

If the Owens Corning product installed is only Owens Corning

Hip & Ridge Product (not in conjunction with Owens Corning

shingles), Owens Corning warrants that the hip and ridge product

meets our speci cations and is free from manufacturing defects when

manufactured. Owens Corning shall have no liability for any product

failures and/or damage caused by improper installation or any other

cause other than manufacturing defects. Should the product prove

to be other than as warranted, Owens Corning’s sole and exclusive

liability shall be limited, at the option of Owens Corning, to either

replacement of the product or providing you with a full refund of the

original cost of the product.

Transferability of This Warranty

If you’ve installed only Owens Corning Hip & Ridge Product

(not in conjunction with Owens Corning shingles), this

warranty is personal to you and may not be transferred to

any subsequent purchasers of your home. If the hip and ridge

product has been installed in conjunction with Owens Corning

shingles, see your Owens Corning Limited Warranty on

Roo ng Shingles for a description of warranty transferability.

Limitations

THE FOREGOING CONSTITUTES OUR EXCLUSIVE

WARRANTY, AND WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL OTHER

WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,

INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR

PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OWENS CORNING BE

LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO

YOUR HOME OR TO YOUR HOME’S CONTENTS.
