Using your kettle 1 TM This electric kettle features Ovente's patented ProntoFill lid so you can fill, boil, and enjoy your favorite beverage...all with the lid on. 2 With the lid still on, fill the kettle with water up to the desired level. Do not overfill to prevent the risk of spillage. Use the water level indicator to measure the desired amount of water. 3 Put the base on a dry, even, heat-resistant surface. 4 Place the kettle on the base.
CLEANING YOUR KETTLE Steps: CLEANING Odor / Spotting / Descaling 1 Make a solution using 1 cup water to 3 tablespoons vinegar. The residue, odor and red spots do not come from the plastic. They can be caused by limescale which are natural deposits (calcium, magnesium, iron and copper) that may build up depending on the water in your area, which, over time, can cause spotting and residue. 2 Pour solution into kettle and close the lid. 3 Bring solution to a boil and leave for 5-8 hours.
care & maintenance Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove water spots with a moistened cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads. Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids. From time to time, depending on the nature of your water supply, limescale will be naturally formed and can be found mostly on the heating element; thus, reducing the heating efficiency. (Refer to the descaling instructions on Page 8).
