SET UP:
Ideally hang the dar tboard so the bull’s eye is at appr oximately 5’4” or “ eye level” for th e

It is recommended that you hang the board in an area that you can reasonably retrieve

and/or delicate surfaces. (Ex. don’t hang near a glass window or where children are
playing)
Write the numbers 20 down through 15 vertically on each side of the scoreboard. Put a
letter “ B” (for “ bull’s eye” ) below the 15, and below that wr ite “ points” .
CLASSIC DARTS:
VARIATIONS
1. CRICKET:
If there ar e 2 player s, they each thr ow one dart; the highest score is the first to start the
game. If ther e ar e 4 players, they divide into 2 groups of 2 player s each. Each player then
throws one dart to determine which team goes first. Each player throws three darts at a
time, alternating player s. If there ar e 4 player s, one fr om each team throws followed by
the partner of each. Players count any darts that land and stay on the board. They count
darts landing on the Bull’s Eye or numbers 15 through 20 (Points are not awarded for hits
landing on the numbers 1 through 14). Remove the darts after your turn.
SCORI N G: Count any darts that land in the bull’s eye or numbers 15 through 20 using a
slash next to the number hit. Mark a second slash (making an X) when you hit the same
num ber a second time. Circle the X when you hit the same number for the third time.
Count the number twice if a dart lands in the doubles ring (outermost narrow ring).
Count the number three times if the dart hits the triples ring (the narrow ring located
between the doubles ring and the Bull’s Eye).
CLOSE-OUT: Closing out is when a number or the Bull’s Eye has been hit 3 times, this is
indicated when an X is circled. Hitting a number or the Bull’s Eye that your opponent has
not closed and you get those points. If you closed 15 but your opponent has not, you
would get 15 points if you hit it again. You would get 50 points for hitting the Bull’s Eye if
yours is closed but your opponent’s is not.
TO WIN: The gam e is over when one team or player has closed up all their numbers and
Bull’s Eye. The player or team with th e m ost points wins.
