MATE does not power-up
e OutBack MATE is powered by the OutBack product that it is connected to. Make sure that
all OutBack Products are powered-up and operating correctly before connecting the MATE.

added.Iftheyhave,followtheinstructionsinMATESetupCommunicationsOptionsto
REPOLLformovedornewdevices.
MATE does not display the correct meter or setting
Make sure that all OutBack Products are powered-up and operating correctly before
connectingtheMATE.CheckorreplacetheCAT5cablesrunningfromtheMATEtothe
OutBack product.
IfaHUBisbeingused,makesurenoOutBackproductshavebeenmovedorunplugged.If
theyhave,followtheinstructionsinMATESetupCommunicationsOptionstoREPOLLfor
moved or new devices.
MATE will not EQ my system when I use the EQ function under the <ACIN> button
OlderFXsandMXswithanewerMATEwillnotbeabletoutilizethissystemwidecommand.
FXsthatdonotrespondtothiscommandcanhaveanEQcyclestartedbyusingtheEQstart
functionlocatedintheSTATUS/FX/MODEmenu.FromtheMainscreenpress<STATUS>,

MATE displays a ‘COMM ERROR’

communications with OutBack products attached to the
HUB,itwilldisplaya‘COMMERROR’screen.
Choosing‘VIEWDEBUG’takesyoutoascreenthatlistsallportsandaccumulatederrors.
AnyPortexperiencingerrorscanbefoundbytheerrorcountaerthePortnumber.
Intheexampletotheright,Port4hasalargenumberoferrorsdetected(04:025meansPort4:
showing25errors).
PressinganykeywilltakeyoutotheSETUP/MATE/COMMscreen,whichwillallowtheerror
countstoberesetusingthe‘RSET’button,theDebugscreencanberedisplayedbyusingthe
‘VIEW’button,orusercangetbacktotheSETUPmenubyusingthe‘BACK’button.
UsetheinformationontheDebugscreentolocatetheproblemdevice.Makesurethatit’sDC
breakerinon,andthatisoperatingcorrectly.CheckorreplaceCAT5cablesrunningfromthe
HUBtothatdevice.
