If a standard socket was used and only the hex

portion of the spark plug was removed, but the

entire porcelain insulator and ground electrode

shield remain in the cylinder head:

1. Install the collet holder assembly. Slide the

adapter over the collet screw until it bottoms

out at the top of the spark plug port.

2. Thread the nut onto the collet screw to the

adapter. Continue threading the nut to pull the

porcelain and electrode portions of the spark

plug out of the cylinder head.

2 – Hex nut – 7/16-14 UNC

3 – Collet holder assembly
