Greater safety and transparency.
The Directive on product safety was designed in 2004 to
standardize safety requirements for products throughout
Europe and offer greater safety and transparency for con-
sumers. OSRAM prints safety information on its products,
packaging and accompanying information leafl ets to meet
the provisions of this Directive. Given the large number of
languages spoken within the EU, pictograms are used in-
stead of written text. Ultimately, OSRAM has always made
the health and safety of its consumers top priority.
Different quality levels within a technology product range are easy to identify due to packaging structure and color design.
