ACCENT WALL BOARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
YOU WILL NEED:
Construction adhesive
Fine sand paper
Measuring tape
Level
Fine Tooth Saw
Hammer or Nail GunHammer or Nail Gun
Finishing Nails
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Acclimate boards to room environment for 24 hrs prior to start.
2. Finish/Seal all non-primed boards front, back and edges.
3. Assure that installation surface is smooth, clean and dry. If the walls are
flat and in good condition, the boards may be glued and nailed directly
to the wall. For uneven or damaged walls, 1x2 or 1x3 furring strips should
be used. For vertical applications, install furring strips horizontally at top be used. For vertical applications, install furring strips horizontally at top
and bottom of wall and spaced 16” or 24” on-center between. For
horizontal and diagonal applications, install furring strips vertically at each
edge and spaced 16” on-center between. Boards can then be glued and
nailed to the strips.
4. Measure and cut boards to length.
5. Install the first board using a level to assure board is level. (NOTE: if
installing flush to adjoining surface, the board may need to be scribed installing flush to adjoining surface, the board may need to be scribed
and planed for good fit)
6. Continue installing boards, leveling each as installed. Trim as necessary.
