Tools to create and edit models
There are three tools that you can use to create and edit
model definitions. Use the:
Model Editor when you want to:
derive models from data sheet curves provided by
manufacturers, or
modify the behavior of a Model Editor-supported
model.
edit the PSpice command syntax (text) for
.MODEL and .SUBCKT definitions.
Create Subcircuit command in the schematic page
editor when you have a hierarchical level in your
design that you want to set up as an equivalent part
with behavior described as a subcircuit netlist
(.SUBCKT syntax).
Note
If you created a subcircuit definition using the Create Subcircuit
command and want to alter it, use the Model Editor to edit the
definition, or modify the original hierarchical schematic and run
Create Subcircuit again to replace the definition.
