The Concept
Orbit®|Arizona Mist® misting systems incorporate a spray
nozzle designed to produce water droplets as small as 5
microns (smaller than the diameter of a human hair). These
ultra-ne water droplets ash evaporate as they hit the
surrounding air—reducing surrounding temperatures up
to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. This scientic principle, known
as evaporative cooling, is the basis for the development of
Orbit®|Arizona Mist® outdoor cooling products.
Misting Applications
When water droplets are reduced to such an extremely
small size (5 microns), their properties have some unique
characteristics. If the water vapor is contained within an
enclosed environment, such as a greenhouse, the relative
humidity can be increased to 100% (this has tremendous
implications for plant propagation and the entire horti-
culture industry). Mist systems can be attached to awnings,
table umbrellas, dog houses, gazebos, patios, decks, horse
stables, tree houses, playground equipment and more!
Portable mist products allow you to take the mist with
you—use them while sunbathing, barbecuing, doing yard
work and outdoor projects, or just relaxing on a hot day.
The potential uses for mist are limited only by the
imagination of the user.
