IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated ‘dangerous voltage’ within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
EMI To reduce the possibility of outside electrical interference during performance, operate your amplifier and instrument away from appliances/equipment that generate high levels of electronic/electromagnetic noise. This may include, but is not limited to: fluorescent lighting, refrigerators, motors, mobile phones, radios, computers etc. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2.
BEFORE USING YOUR AMPLIFIER Always ensure the correct speaker load (Ω) is connected to the SPEAKER OUTPUT terminal(s) at all times during operation. The speaker outputs are found on the rear of the amplifier and are wired in parallel. The minimum total load is 8Ω. Only connect cabinets as described below. Note: Never use instrument cable to make speaker connections. Use only quality, unshielded speaker cable.
FRONT PANEL FEATURES POWER: This switch turns on the mains power to the amplifier. INPUT: Plug your instrument into this jack socket. CHANNEL: This switches between CLEAN and DIRTY channels. MASTER VOLUME: Controls the overall volume of both CLEAN and DIRTY channels. MASTER REVERB: Controls the level of reverb applied to both CLEAN and DIRTY channels. The reverb type is selected using the toggle switch for either PLATE, HALL or SPRING.
VOLUME (Clean/Dirty Channel): This controls the volume of the corresponding channel. At higher VOLUME settings, the CLEAN channel will begin break up into natural overdrive for a more vintage ‘crunch’ tone. The overall volume can then be reduced by turning down the MASTER VOLUME control. BASS (Clean/Dirty Channel): This controls the low frequency response of the corresponding channel. Increasing the BASS produces deeper tones.
REAR PANEL FEATURES SPEAKER OUTPUTS (16 Ohm, 16 Ohm) Always ensure the correct speaker load is connected at all times during use. Please refer to “Using Your Amplifier” for correct speaker connections. FOOTSWITCH jack sockets Connect a latching footswitch, e.g. Orange FS-2, with a Tip/Sleeve (Mono T/S) instrument cable connection to remotely switch channel and/or engage the reverb. FX LOOP (Send and Return) Use the “Send” jack socket to go to the input of effects pedals such as delay, chorus, etc.
