Adding a new Web site
1. Click ‘New Entry’. The ‘Restricted Website’ dialog will appear.
2. Enter the IP address or URL of the web site that you want made inaccessible
from your local network; all pages within the site will be blocked. If the web site
address has multiple IP addresses then GlobeSurfer
®
III will resolve these and
add them to the restrictions table.
3. You can apply the filtering rule to all computers, or a specific one or a group.
From the ‘Local host’ drop-down list you can select ‘Any’ (i.e. all comput-
ers), a named computer or group from the list, or ‘User defined’ to create a
new group. To learn how to create groups and apply rules see the ‘Reference
Manual’.
4. Rules can follow a specified timetable. From the ‘Schedule’ drop-down list, you
can select a pre-defined schedule or click ‘User defined’ to create one. To learn
how to create a new time schedule, see the ‘Reference Manual’.
