When installing horn loaded loudspeakers, it’s worth taking a moment to
understand how the loudspeaker projects sound and how to get the best
coverage in your venue by careful aiming.
The above table lists the coverage angles of the high-frequency horns in the
Cuboid range. These gures are quoted using the centre axis of the horn as 0°
and measuring the angle off centre where the sound pressure level (SPL) drops
by 6dB. The results given reect horn symmetry, 90° = 45° horizontally off axis
both sides of centre.
These specications refer to the loudspeaker ex-factory. With the loudspeaker in
portrait, the horn is tted to deliver coverage as shown in the table above. If you
intend to mount your Cuboid in landscape mode (when suspending horizontally
from ceiling for instance), consider rotating the horn as shown in the following
images:
