4.5. Ambient Light Immunity
Decoding performance is guaranteed when the range of illumination on a barcode
surface is between zero and the following values:
Incandescent light 3,000 lx
Fluorescent light 3,000 lx
Sunlight 50,000 lx

Direct light or specular reflection light from a source should be prevented from
entering the acceptance area.
