LEVEL-+
You call adjust the level of individual speakers during
playback. These adjustments are temporary and will be
cancelled when the AV receiver is set to Standby.
Press the [RECEIVER] button,
use the [CH EEL] button to select
each speaker, and use the
[LEVEL-] and [LEVEL+] buttons
to adjust the volume.
Speakers are selected ill the t_llowing
order: Front Left --+ Center --+ Front
Right --+ Snrr Right --+ Surr Back
Right --+ Snrr Back Left --+ Surr left --+
Snbwoofer.
You can adjust the volume of each
)eaker from -12 dB to +12 dB
(-15 dB to +12 dB for the subwoofer).

Notes:
• You cannot nse this function while the AV receiver is
muted.
• Speakers that are set to No or None in the Speaker
Configuration cannot be adjusted.
The DVD analog mnltichannel input is for connecting
components with a 5.1-channel analog andio output,
such as a DVD player or MPEG decoder.
See "Using a Multichannel Connection" on page 29 for
connection information.

• To use the bass and treble flmctions with the DVD
analog mnltichannel input, select the Multich listening
mode first.
Adjusting Individual Speaker Levels
You can adjust the level of individual speakers while
using the DVD analog nmltichannel input.
Usetheremotecontroller's[CH
EEL] buttonto selecteach
speaker, andthen usethe
[LEVEL-] and [LEVEL+] buttons
to adjust the volume.

Notes:
• These speaker level settings are completely indepen-
dent of those explained on pages 50 and left column.
• While the DVD analog multichannel input is selected,
you can only select the Direct, Pure Audio (not Amer-
ican TX-SR602), or Multich listening mode. If yon
select the DVD analog nmltichannel input while using
another listening mode, that listening mode will be
cancelled.
• While the DVD analog multichannel input is selected,
the Automatic Speaker Setup and Speaker Configura-
tion settings on page 46 are ignored, and signals from
the multichannel input are fed to the front left, front
right, center, surround left, and surround right speak-
ers, and subwoofer regardless of those settings.
• On the TX-SR702E, you can select the listening
modes as explained on page 61. In addition, sound is
output by the surround back speakers.
