Using remote controller
Overview
The RC=460M remote controller is a useful Iool 1o help you operate
the components of your home theater. To do so, first press the Mode
button that corresponds to the device you wish to control. Then
simply press the desired operation betton and the component will
operate accordingly. For example, if you wish 1o select the CD input
source at the TX=DS898 with the remote controller, first press the
RCVR MODE button to select the TX-DS898 and then press 1he CD
(INPUT SELECTOR) button.

1. Press the RCVR MODE button,
The RCVR MODE button lights green.
2. Press the TUN input selector button.
3. Press the CH + or = button to select the desired
preset station number.

I Controlling an Onkyo tape
cassette deck
The RI connector of the Onkyo cassette tape deck must be
connecled 1othe TX-DS898 (see page 14).
1. Press the RCVR MODE button.
The RCVR MODE button lights green.
2. Press the desired operation button.
The buttons shaded in the figure to the left are the operation
buttons that can be used to control an Onkyo C_LSsetletape deck.
Operation buttons:
_: Play
D: Stop
<_: Rewind
_>: Fast forward
[_: Press during playback 1oskip to the beginning of the next track.
DZ_:Press during playback to skip Io the beginning of the current
track.
R (Rec): Record/Pause
@: Reverse playback
You may also use the following buttons:
VOL _/V: Adjusts the volume at the TX-DS898
MUTING: Activates the muting function at the TX-DS898
Note:
Even for devices with the C:_ and D_ buttons, signal discrepancies
may cause them not Io work properly.
