Authentic High-Fidelity Amplication for Movies,

Onkyo’s Wide Range Amplier Technology (WRAT) is
designed for high current delivery. High instantaneous current
is needed to maintain control of the speaker drivers for
precise yet musical audio reproduction. Backed by a massive
high-output transformer, the ampliers feature a discrete
low-impedance output stage (not a cheap integrated circuit)
with high-current transistors for instantaneous power and
very low distortion. The resulting sound is detailed, dynamic,
and highly realistic for both stereo and multichannel listening.

and efciently decode all the lossless and high-resolution
formats common to DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
Inbuilt Bluetooth with Music Optimizer
Stream almost any audio you like from your smartphone,
tablet, or PC to your home theater for clear and powerful
hi- playback. Everything from tracks on internet streaming
services to your device’s MP3 library are smoothly
transmitted via Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, with an Advanced
Music Optimizer function compensating for lower-quality
compressed audio.
Enhances Low-Quality Digital Audio
While MP3 les may sound ne on a portable stereo,
the limitations of these les can be exposed when played
through a quality home entertainment system. Advanced
Music Optimizer mode improves the quality of compressed
audio signals for clearer, more expansive sound. The
technology also includes a handy loudness correction
feature.
Play Lossless and Hi-Res Music via USB
If you prefer a wired connection, the rear-panel USB port
is ready to accept a range of audio formats from mass-
storage class disks. As well as MP3, AAC, and WMA, you
can play FLAC and WAV up to 192 kHz/24-bit resolution
as well as WMA Lossless, Apple Lossless, and 5.6 MHz DSD.
Alternatively, you can connect your PC, smartphone, tablet,
or media player via the digital or analog audio inputs.
Preview Your HD Video Sources
Video switching is easy with InstaPrevue
™
technology. Select
InstaPrevue via the Home Menu and video thumbnails
showing what’s playing on devices connected via HDMI are
overlaid on screen. As well as being a fast and intuitive way
to switch sources, it’s also great for keeping an eye on the
cable sports channel while you’re playing a console game,
for example.
Easy Operation for Everyone in Your Family
The included A/V receiver is very simple to use. The
Home menu is mainly for detailed adjustment and setup
(such as conguring your A/V receiver remote to control
other components in your system, or to assign specic
listening modes to different inputs). But if you want to
quickly boost the center level or change sources, the “Q”
button overlays a text menu on screen and lets you get the
job done in seconds.
Phase-Matching Bass Enhancement
PM Bass optimizes low frequencies while preserving
mid-range clarity. It counters phase shifting (which generally
occurs in the all-important mid-range zone occupied by
vocals) by synchronizing the timing of different frequencies.
The result is deep, well-dened bass that won’t blur vocals
or strings.
More Realistic Action with Four Gaming Modes
Select from four surround-sound modes optimized to match
different content for a more realistic gaming experience.
Rock, Sports, Action, and RPG game modes bring out the
best in any soundtrack, from subtle ambient effects to
thundering explosions.
Zone 2 Line-Out for Multi-Room Audio
The Zone 2 line-level output lets you enjoy music from
the source devices connected to your A/V receiver via the
analog audio inputs in another area of your home. If you
have a power amp and a pair of speakers lying around,
you could set them up in your kitchen, garage, or even out
on the deck and listen to CDs and radio playing via your
A/V receiver.
