The DV-C600’s Random playback functions allow you to select a mode where
the DV-C600 decides which Title or Chapter/track to play next. A similar
function is available on most CD players. There are two Random functions:
one for DVDs only, and another that is available for both DVDs and audio
CDs:
Title Random
DVD
For DVD video discs, you can decide to have the DV-C600
select the Titles in a random (unpredictable) order:
Stop playback and select the DVD video
disc whose titles you wish to watch in
random order.
See “Selecting the desired disc for
playback” on page 15 for details.
Press the RAN-
DOM button to
select “Title
Random”.
Pressing this button
repeatedly will cycle
through the follow-
ing options:
Note:
If you press the
RANDOM button during playback, the DV-
C600 automatically starts random
playback after finishing the current title.
Press the PLAY button within 5
seconds after pressing the RANDOM
button.
The DVD Changer starts random play-
back.
Press CLEAR to resume normal
playback.
Notes:
• Some discs may not permit random playback.
• You cannot use this Random function in conjunction with Memory
playback (see page 22).
• Select “Random Off” if you do not need the Random function after
all.
Playing Chapters or Tracks in Random Order
DVD
CD
This Random function allows you to activate random playback
of the Chapters within the currently selected title (DVD video
discs) or of the tracks on an audio CD.
Stop playback and select the disc
whose titles you wish to watch/listen to
in random order.
See “Selecting the desired disc for
playback” on page 15 for details.
Press the SEARCH button and use the
numeric buttons on the remote control-
ler to select the Title.
Note:
This is only possible for DVD video discs.
Skip to step 2 for Video/audio CDs.
Press the RANDOM button to select
“Chapter Random” (DVD) or “Track
Random” (audio CD).
If you press the
RANDOM button
during playback, the
DV-C600 automati-
cally starts random
playback after finishing the current
Chapter or track.
Press the PLAY button within 5
seconds after pressing the RANDOM
button.
The DVD Changer starts random playback.
Press CLEAR to resume normal
playback.

the next Chapter or track and continue Random playback from there.
