If the test does not start after applying the sample:

Insuf f i cient blood sample. Repeat the test with a new
test strip and a larger sample,
making sure blood is placed
to the narrow channel in the
top edge of the test strip.
Defective meter.
Call LifeScan Customer
Service at 1 800 227-8862.
Defective test strip. Repeat the test with a new
test strip.
Sample applied after automatic
shutoff (three minutes after
inserting a test strip).
Repeat the test with a new
test strip; apply sample only
after “Apply Blood”, “Alternate
Site”, or “Control Solution”
appears on the display.
