Guidelines for obtaining an accurate
meter to lab comparison
Before going to the lab:
• Perform a control solution test to make sure your meter
is working properly.
• Do Not eat for at least 8 hours before you test your
blood.
• Take your meter and testing supplies with you to the
lab.
