Items related to edge detection
Set the direction in which edges are searched and the change in density.
Selecting the color of edges
Select the direction of density change for the edge to be detected.
X MENU mode-[TEACH]-[CUSTM]-[EDGE MODE]

Select the direction in which edges are searched.
X MENU mode-[TEACH]-[CUSTM]-[DIRECTION]
Changing edge sensitivity
Change sensitivity when a stable edge cannot be located.
X MENU mode-[TEACH]-[CUSTM]-[EDGE SENSE]
Setting Details
DARK Dark areas shown in the filtered monochrome image are assumed to be
edges.
LIGHT (default) Light areas shown in the filtered monochrome image are assumed to be
edges.
Setting Details
Searches from bottom to top.
Searches from top to bottom.
(default) Searches from left to right.
Searches from right to left.
Setting Details
SENSITIVE Edge sensitivity is high.
Select this when contrast is low and a stable edge cannot be located.
NORMAL (default) Standard sensitivity.
ROUGH Edge sensitivity is low.
Select this when something like dust is mistakenly detected as the edge.
