Easy to mount and install
The S8VS features a DIN rail click-on system for easy mounting.
The terminal locations are situated at the upper and lower side
of the power supply, which makes installation easier and
prevents wiring errors.
Environmentally friendly
Omron’s policy of environmental awareness is reflected in these
products. The soldering in all of the S8VS models is lead-free.
The range
The range includes 60W, 90W, 120W, 180W and 240W models.
These models cover 80% of the market requirements.
Omron also provides models without the 7-segment display
monitor, offering you an even wider selection to choose from!
Protecting your system
To prevent unexpected down-time due to a power failure
or to control the shut-down process in the event of a mains
fault, Omron has developed the S8T-DCBU-02 buffer block.
This buffer block is maintenance-free and is one of the most
cost-efficient ways of protecting your system. It provides a
back-up power source for at least 500ms (at 2.5A) to 1s (at 1A).
Up to four of these blocks can be connected in parallel to
increase the back-up time and current handling capacity.
The display that tells you everything!
Looking for the source of a power problem in a typical machine
panel requires a lot of time and equipment. Not so with the
S8VS! Via this power supply’s 3-digit, 7-segment display you
can check the status of voltage, current and total run-time
of the unit. You can also check the output peak current, and
quickly diagnose open-circuits or short-circuits to the system.
In fact up to 80% of diagnostics can be quickly solved via
this display!

What it displays

-Easy to adjust output voltage during set-up, and
monitor it continuously.
• Output current
-Easy to see whether your load is within the range
of the power supply under stable conditions.
•Peakhold current
-Easy to diagnose maximum load of your machine,
and whether there are any errors.
•Run time
-Indicates the total operating time of the power supply.
It also eliminates the need for routine checks, which
reduces operational and maintenance costs.
• Undervoltage alarm
- This indicator lights when the output voltage
is insufficient (transistor output is provided for
urgent notification (except for 60W model).
Built-in monitor for preventive maintenance
The S8VS has a microprocessor-controlled total run-time
monitor that indicates the total operating time of the power
supply. Together with the alarm output this feature provides
a suitable means of preventive maintenance.
