RS-232C/RS-422A Adapter Unit
• Long-distance transmissions are possible through
an RS-422A interface. By converting from RS-232C
to RS-422A and then back to RS-232C, a transmis-
sion distance of up to 500 m can be achieved.
• No power supply is required. If the 5-V terminal
(150 mA max.) is connected from the RS-232C
device, a separate power supply is not required
to drive the Adapter Unit.
• Duct wiring can be used. The removable terminal
block enables wiring not possible with D-sub con-
nectors. (The RS-232C interface is 9-pin D-sub.)
Function
The NT-AL001 is used to connect a PT or other device with an
RS-232C terminal to a device with an RS-422A terminal, or an RS422A
multi-drop network..
