3 Button PITCH Selects the setting range for the pitch slider: 4 %, 8 % or 16 %. A long
press deactivates the pitch control (indication - -)
4 Pitch slide control Sets the playback speed up to ±16 %; the pitch percentage is indicated
in the display
5 Button OPEN/CLOSE Ejects and retracts the CD; while playing a CD, the CD drive is locked
against unintentional opening
6 Button JOG MODE Sets the operating mode for the jogdial: pitch bend (LED off), search
(LED lights) and scratch (LED flashes)
7 Button SOURCE Switches over between CD, USB and SD operation
8 VFD display Shows all functions of the unit and information of the data carriers such
as bargraph, title number, pitch value, single playback mode, loops,
play or pause, repeat settings, title and folder names and elapsed,
remain or total remain time (audio CD only) indicated in minutes,
seconds and frames (1/75 second)
9 Button IN Sets the starting point of a loop (corresponding LED lights red)
10 Button OUT Sets the end point of a continuous loop which is instantly started (IN
and OUT LEDs will be flashing). The loop will continue to play until the
OUT button is pressed once again; then the IN and OUT LEDs will
stop flashing but will remain on to indicate that a loop has been
memorized and is ready to be engaged. To program another loop,
simply redefine the starting and the end point with the IN and OUT
buttons. To set the loop points precisely to 1 frame (1/75 second),
enter pause mode and use the jogdial (set to search mode) to go to the
exact spot.
11 Button RELOOP Reengages the loop; the IN and OUT LEDs will be flashing again
12 Jogdial As default setting the jogdial can be used for pitch bend, i.e. a
temporary change of speed. In search mode the jogdial can be used
for fast forward and reverse, as well as for a fine adjustment to cue and
loop points. In scratch mode it can be used for scratch effects. The
operating mode is set with the JOG MODE button.
