Inbetriebnahme 5.1 Installation Stellen Sie den Verstärker an einer geeigneten Stelle auf und befestigen Sie ihn bei Bedarf über die Montagewinkel. Schrauben Sie die beiliegende Antenne auf den Antennenanschluss und richten Sie sie für den Betrieb senkrecht auf. Hinweise Achten Sie bei der Wahl des Standorts darauf, dass der Verstärker ein ausreichend starkes WLAN-Signal erhält. Ein schwaches Signal kann zu Verbindungsabbrüchen führen.
Netzwerkkonfiguration Der CIA-40WIFI nutzt ein bestehendes WLAN, um Audiostreams abzuspielen. Zur Einrichtung und Steuerung gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten. Sie können den CIA-40WIFI über seine WPS-Funktionalität in das WLAN einbinden oder Sie nutzen dafür die 4STREAM-App ( Kapitel 7). Der CIA-40WIFI kann auch als Accesspoint selbst ein WLAN aufbauen, auf das Sie mit Ihrem mobilen Gerät zugreifen können. Beide Zugriffsarten sind auch gleichzeitig möglich.
Verwendung der App 4STREAM Um den vollen Funktionsumfang des CIA-40WIFI zu nutzen, empfehlen wir die Verwendung der App 4STREAM. Die App ist gratis für Android und iOS im Play Store bzw. App Store erhältlich. Mit der App lässt sich der Verstärker bequem und einfach in das Heimnetzwerk einbinden und über das Smartphone oder Tablet bedienen.
7.2 Alle Menüs der App im Überblick Die App ist übersichtlich und intuitiv zu bedienen. Nachfolgend sind die wichtigsten Funktionen dargestellt. 1) Die Geräteliste zeigt alle im Netz verfügbaren Verstärker (Abb. 7). Diese können im Einzelmodus individuell gesteuert und über das Symbol verwaltet werden (z. B. Namen ändern). Im MultiroomModus können mehrere Verstärker auch zu Zonen zusammengelegt werden, um dieselbe Musik in verschiedenen Räumen abzuspielen.
7.3 Wiedergabesteuerung In der Wiedergabesteuerung werden für den aktuellen Titel das vergrößerte Albumcover und weitere Informationen gezeigt. Nachfolgend sind die wichtigsten Steuerelemente erklärt.
8 Bedienung 8.1 Verstärker einschalten Mit dem Anschluss an die Stromversorgung ist der CIA-40WIFI eingeschaltet. Er startet automatisch in der zuletzt gewählten Betriebsart, die mit den LEDs (1) angezeigt wird. War der Verstärker bereits mit einem WLAN verbunden, wird automatisch versucht, die Verbindung wiederherzustellen. Dabei blinkt die Anzeige STATUS schneller und leuchtet bei erfolgreicher Verbindung konstant.

5 Setup 5.1 Installation Find a suitable location for the amplifier and if necessary, fasten it using the mounting brackets. Screw on the included antenna to the antenna jack and put it in a vertical position. Notes Make sure to place the amplifier within the WiFi signal range. A weak signal can lead to connectivity issues. In this case, we recommend installing a WiFi repeater to increase WiFi coverage.
6 Network Configuration The CIA-40WIFI uses an existing WiFi network to play audio streams. There are several ways to set up and control the CIA-40WIFI. It can be integrated into the WiFi network via its WPS functionality or the 4STREAM app ( chapter 7). The CIA-40WIFI can also create a WiFi network of its own that can be accessed via your mobile device. Both access types can be used at the same time. Cable connection via Ethernet to a router is also supported.
7 Using the 4STREAM App In order to fully benefit from all features of the CIA-40WIFI, we recommend the 4STREAM app. You can download the app for free in the Play Store or App Store. Using 4STREAM, you will be able to connect the amplifier to your WiFi network and conveniently control it from your smartphone or tablet. The app lets you access all music sources, customize radio stations, control the volume and more for one or several amplifiers. 7.
7.2 Overview of all menus The app is clearly organized and intuitive to use. The most important functions are described below. 1) The Device list shows all available amplifiers in your network (fig. 7). In solo mode they can be individually controlled and adjusted via the symbol (e.g. name change). Switch to multi mode to group and control them together and play the same music in every room. 2) The Main menu lets you play music from the following audio sources (fig. 8).
7.3 Playback control Once a song is playing, the following screen will appear, filled with information such as the album art and various playback controls.
8 Operation 8.1 Switching the amplifier on The CIA-40WIFI will be switched on as soon as it is connected to the power supply. It will automatically go to the operating mode most recently selected, which will be indicated by the LEDs (1). If the amplifier was connected to a WiFi network before, it will automatically try to re-establish the connection. The STATUS indicator will flash rapidly during this process; it will light continuously once the connection has been established.
