9. PROTECTIVE CIRCUITS
The integrated protective circuits prevent damage to the speakers and the amplifier. To prevent distortions in
case overload, the integrated level limiter reduces the input signal if the limit level is reached at the output. If
one of the other protective cuircuits is activated, the speakers are electrically separated from the amplifier:
• for a few seconds after switching-on until the speaker outputs are ready for operation
• in case of overheating of the amplifier
•
in case of overload of the amplifier
• in case of DC voltage at a speaker output
• in case of a short-circuit at a speaker output (the clip indicator of the corresponding channel lights up)
If the speakers are switched off during operation or if they are not ready for operation after switching on, the
amplifier has to be switched off and the cause of the fault has to be removed.
10. PROBLEM CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE REMEDY
No power. • Power cable is not connected. • Check power cable and any
extension cables.
No sound. • Power cable of respective signal
source is not connected properly or
not connected at all.
• Connection jack or plug are dirty.
• Check power cable and if plugs are
tightly connected with jacks.
• Clean jacks and/or plug.
Fan does not work, LEDs
do not light up.
• Power cable is not connected.
• Please check if power is available.
Speakers are switched off • Amplifier is overheated due to
impurities.
• Impedance of speakers too low.
• Short-circuit in speaker connection or
in speakers.
• Technical default of amplifier.
• Clean fan grille.
• Connect other speakers.
• Check speakers.
• Switch amplifier off and have it
checked by a service technician.
