Digital Zoom (KDigital Tele-converter / nDigital Tele-converter)

This option takes a crop at the center of the frame the same dimensions as the size
option currently selected for image quality and zooms it in to ll the display. This allows
you to zoom in past the lens’ maximum focal length, making it a good choice when you
are unable to switch lenses or nd it di󰀩cult to get any closer to your subject.

O󰀨 Pictures are taken without using this function.
On Images are recorded enlarged (Still pictures: 2x, Movies: 1.4x).
• When [On] is selected, an icon is displayed and, when
live view is enabled, it is enlarged.
• The size of the AF targets (“Choosing an AF Target
Mode (AF Target Mode)” (P. 77)) increases and their
number decreases.
• JPEG images are recorded at the selected zoom ratio.
In the case of RAW images, a frame shows the zoom
crop. A frame showing the zoom crop is displayed on
the image during playback.
