Basic Photography and
Playback
Read this section for information on basic photography and playback that will get
you started using your camera right away. It also provides basic information on such
topics as using the touch screen and switching memory cards.
Taking Photos
Holding the Camera
Be careful that your fi ngers or other objects, such as the camera strap, do not
obstruct the lens or AF-assist illuminator.
Landscape (wide) orientation Portrait (tall) orientation
• To prevent unintended operation, you can lock camera controls using the lock lever. You can
