Access via the Multi Selector
1 Keep the multi selector pressed while rotating the front or rear dial.

• The camera cycles through AF target modes as shown.

2 Release the multi selector when the desired mode is displayed.
• AF target mode options will no longer be displayed.
• Assigning N (AF-target selection) to the arrow pad or Fn button allows the control to be
used for AF-target selection. Press the FGHI buttons to view the AF target display. Use
the front dial to choose a target. N (AF-target selection) is assigned to the arrow pad by
default.

• The following focus settings can be recalled simultaneously using the Fn lever. Separate
settings can be assigned to Positions 1 and 2. Use this option to quickly adjust settings
according to shooting conditions.

The Fn lever can be confi gured using [n Fn Lever Function] (P. 426) in the n video
menu.
• Settings can also be adjusted by fi rst pressing a button and then using the front dial.
Access the AF-target display by pressing the control to which [N] has been assigned
via [n Button Function]. You can then adjust settings by rotating the front dial. At default
settings, [N] is assigned to the Fn button. g [n Button Function] (P. 417)
